Kerri Muller embarked on her journey into hairstyling over three decades ago, fostering a lifelong passion for creativity. With formal training and experience at renowned institutions like Bumble & Bumble and Vidal Sassoon, Kerri stays current through online classes, in-person trainings, and trend studies. Specializing in Great Lengths hair extensions for 24 years, Kerri also offers personalized cuts and colors tailored to each client's style and lifestyle at her sought-after salon, Cicada, in Uptown New Orleans.

As a native to Algiers Point, opening a second location in this historic neighborhood holds both professional and personal significance for Kerri, allowing her to reconnect with her roots and serve her community in a meaningful way.

Jo began her path behind the chair in the French Quarter at a costume wig shop. That experience had her jumping at the chance to attend cosmetology school at Aveda in 2004. Her foundation was built during her internship at a leading fashion salon in Manhattan where she learned under some greats like Rodney Cutler, Diego Da Silva, and Ellen Lawlor. 

Jo owned/operated a boutique salon, Savage Beauty, in the Bywater for nine years. Which she closed during the COVID pandemic. Now at Cicada Salon, Jo has honed her skills as a senior stylist, specializing in precision cuts, textured silhouette shaping, gray blending and natural blonding.

Jo focuses on understanding each clients needs, perspectives, and lifestyle to ensure her client’s hair will align with their day-to-day wear.

I've been in the beauty industry for 9 years and I've had so much experiences in my career! I've spent years perfecting my Craft and have felt rewarded in the impacts that I make in the lives of my clients.

I love all things hair and my specialty is impactful blonds, effortless balayage, low-maintenance color and invisible bead extensions.

When I'm not behind the chair you'd find me either taking my 7 yr old son Luís to and from school, playing at the Audubon Park Uptown with our weenie dog BINGO or Luís & sometimes both and  we're crafting something (because who doesn't craft in New Orleans).

Megan Tyler started her hair journey apprenticing under a dual-licensed hairstylist 15 years ago, earning her the official title of Barber, in her home town of Lake Charles, La.

  Later Megan was approached by a Dallas-based talent agency where she signed and her work went on to be published both nationally and internationally.

   Later she and her family returned to Lake Charles where she trained and mastered high end eyelash extensions, started her own studio, and grew the business successfully until Hurricanes Laura and Delta of 2020 displaced her family to Old Algiers Point in New Orleans.       Since moving, Megan has rebuilt her life, developed new clientele and makes it a priority to give back to the community that has given her so much.

  Megan specializes in color, highlights, men and women’s cuts, works well with children, and loves special event hair. Ongoing education is a true passion of hers as there’s always new tips, tricks, and styles. She is keen on customer service and giving the client what works for them and their lifestyle.
